 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES The Mango Festival Scholarship will be award to ten (10) high school seniors who have excelled in academic and/or community service and have a financial need. DEADLINE - Application deadline is April 1, 2007 (Completed applications must be postmarked by this date. (Incomplete appliations will not be processed. ELIGIBILITY - In order to qualify, the student must meet the following criteria: 1. Applicant must be a Deerfield Beach resident. (Proof of residency required.) 2. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 by the end of the third current semester. 3. Must submit an official transcript from enrolled high school. 4. Must have a financial need for assistance. In order to prove financial need, please submit a copy of the household's W2 form(s) and/or a copy of last years tax return. 5. Must submit three letters of recommendations from a current high school teacher and/or administrator, community leader etc. 6.Prepare an attach personal statement of at least 200 words or more describing how this scholarship will help your future endeavors. AWARDS - Scholarships will be awarded to the eligible high school student to use towards their first year's college tuition funds are forfeited if proper documentation verifiying enrollment is not received by January 31, 2008 SELECTION CRITERIA - A panel of Educators, Community leaders and others are selected for the review of all scholarship applications received.
