Carl J. Nixon Mango Festival, Inc. formerly, "The Mango Festival, Inc."
The Mango Festival is a festival held in the City of Deerfield Beach, Florida.
The Mango Festival got it's name from a local women's group called, the Women's Reach out Organization and a very prominent School Teacher/City Commissioner Carl Nixon. They thought that the community needed some way of enjoying themselves and also helping out by, all proceeds being forwarded back through the community involvement and helping high school students with funds to get off to college. Now the festival has turned into one of the biggest events held in South Florida. It is a weekend full of food, fun and entertainment, R&B, Gospel, Caribbean etc... Proceeds from the festival are used for community and scholarship opportunities. This event is truly one for all to enjoy, displaying diversity and community comradery bring Black, White, Hispanic, Brazilian you name it, in the thousands they all come. So remember make plans to come out and share this wonderful event with us.
